Crumbles Castle Adventure Playground Manager

Based at: Bingfield Street, London N1 0BJ
Salary: £26,000 p.a.
Annual Leave: 25 days p.a.

A unique and exciting opportunity to lead an adventure playground with a difference - Crumbles Castle is situated in an area of deprivation and has been a cornerstone of local provision for children and families for 40 years!

The playground has an amazing castle building, outside structures and wonderful play space it is free and open-access, providing a range of fun, inclusive and challenging child-led play experiences for 6 -14 year olds.

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspired Playground Manager to lead the playground into an exciting new phase. The postholder will be supported by Islington Play Association to develop the service and manage the changes to becoming part of a borough-wide service.

The position will require diverse skills and a real passion for play! The ideal candidate can balance excellent playwork with the experience of running a local voluntary organisation, including developing funding bids and managing a staff team.

The post requires a Level 3 in Playwork or equivalent (or the commitment to undertake this) as well as appropriate references and an enhanced CRB.

Play Association Hammersmith and Fulham

Playworker vacancies for a new project opening for the Easter Holidays

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to lead a brand new service for young children with complex needs.
Play Association Hammersmith & Fulham has been successful in securing funding from Children in Need to run a playscheme for children aged three to seven with complex needs that will run on Saturdays and full-time in school holidays. 

Senior Playworker for Antony Lillis Project for Vulnerable Children (Under Eights)
Salary: £15 per hr
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspired Senior Playworker to lead this brand new playscheme. The position will require diverse skills and a real passion for play! The ideal candidate can balance excellent playwork and knowledge of children with additional needs with the experience of running a play setting, Ofsted and the EYFS, and managing a staff team.
The post requires at least a Level 3 in a relevant field, as well as appropriate references and an enhanced CRB.

Deputy Senior Playworker for Antony Lillis Project for Vulnerable Children (Under Eights)
Salary: £13 per hr
The position will require diverse skills and a real passion for play! The ideal candidate can balance excellent playwork and knowledge of children with additional needs with the experience of running a play setting, Ofsted and the EYFS, and managing a staff team.
The post requires at least a Level 2 in a relevant field, as well as appropriate references and an enhanced CRB.

Salary: £11.28 per hr
The position will require diverse skills and a real passion for play! The ideal candidates can balance excellent playwork with their experience of children with additional needs.
These posts require proven experience in a relevant field, as well as appropriate references and an enhanced CRB.

Volunteer positions on Islington's adventure playground management committees 

The Islington Play Association, on behalf of Islington's adventure playgrounds, is looking for trustees to sit on the committees that directly run adventure playgrounds.

We would especially welcome hearing from people who have experience in running an organisation or business, those with finance and HR experience, but above all we want to hear from people keen to share their enthusiasm.

If you would like to share your skills and would like to volunteer your time to help ensure there are good quality play places in the borough, then we want to hear from you.
