The Islington Play Association (IPA) runs many innovative play projects. Paradise Park Children's Centre The IPA's Paradise Park Children's Centre provides services in the Holloway area of Islington including: care and education for children until they start school, child and family health services, and family support. The centre is a focus and location for excellence in childcare and family support, and it lays the foundations for healthy lives, love of learning, creativity and cooperation. It is democratically led by the Islington Play Association and inspired by the ethos of freely chosen, self-directed children's play and voluntary sector innovation, accountability and user participation. The IPA's Treehouse Project is enabling children at 24 sites across the borough to build their own treehouses, shelters and dens under the guidance of specialist play professionals. This project aims to empower children to take a larger part in creating and altering their own play spaces. The IPA's Finding Nature Through Play Project is working with all twelve of Islington's Adventure Playgrounds to enable children to create mini nature reserves. Completed Projects
